31/2 months and going strong

Aurora and Abigail are now 31/2 months old and going strong. This has been a big month for them so far. On Mother's Day, both girls were dedicated at our church. Of course, everyone was so excited to see "the twins" and they stole the show. LOL. Both made it through their first church service very well, much to our delight. Rory (Aurora) is rolling over more than ever and loves to smile and laugh at everything. Abby (Abigail) has started scooting across the floor. We were so amazed when she started to do that for the first time!! She digs her feet into the floor and scoots across her blanket (slowly but surely) to get to the toys that she wants. She almost has the rolling over thing down. She can roll to her side but she just can't quite get that leg all the way over. She'll get there soon, though. Abby has also started smiling more and more. She is still our more serious little one, but she finds people and new things slightly amusing enough to give us the occasional big smile and laugh. Both girls have started to "talk" to us. They, of course, aren't saying real words yet, but they love to coo and jabber to us and their twin. It's so interesting to watch the two of them carry on a conversation in their little baby language. We swear that they know what each other is saying. It's amazing!! We have so much fun with both of them!! They will have their 4 month check-up at the beginning of June. We are anxious to see how big they are getting. We know that they have gained quite a bit of weight and length since they were last at the doctor. Both have hardy appetites and have no problems letting us know when it is close to time to eat. Abby and Rory are also doing very well sleeping through the night!! Of course, we have a couple of rough nights now and then, but, for the most part, they sleep for a good 7-8 hours a night!! Mommy and Daddy definitely like this plan better than pacing the floor all night long. The girls are getting to a very fun age and it amazes us the new things that they learn and do each day. They seem to change from day to day and it is such a blessing to get to watch them grow and develop into their own little person. We love being parents so much and look forward to all the fun times ahead!!
